Join us, the Santa Rosa Chapter of the American Sewing Guild, for a two day workshop fitting and constructing leggings. This workshop will enable participants to fit and construct great fitting and looking leggings with success. Fitting legging patterns requires some specialized measurements that allow for significant stretch and compression to achieve a successful fit.
Recommendations for legging patterns, elastics and appropriate fabric choices that are proper weight and stretch ratio for leggings will be sent out to participants prior to the workshop.
Saturday, January 25th The first day we will cover various pattern styling options, measuring, and editing the pattern to fit, utilizing a special measurement chart that will be provided to participants. I will also share books and videos to reference going forward. Participants should purchase fabrics, elastics, and patterns prior to the first day of the workshop! Saturday, February 8th The second day we will cover construction methods, elastic application, and seam options using a basic sewing machine, serger and cover stitch. Participants may also use a serger instead of a cover stitch if they choose.Leggings can be constructed effectively using either of these machines along with a basic sewing machine.
No Refunds. Tickets are transferable to another person for this same event but not Refundable. PRICE FOR MEMBERS IS $90.00 with discount code ASGmember. $100.00 for non-members Get tickets here at Event Brite.
