Sit and Sew with a Pro
Hours of Sewing with a Professional Instructor to Help You.

Sit & Sew with a Pro days are your opportunity to have hours of undisturbed sewing with professional assistance available. We have one of the instructors from Santa Rosa Junior College or an instructor specializing in specific techniques spending the time with us, advising and fitting.

Some Equipment Provided For You

Bring your sewing machine and accessories. You will be greeted with cutting tables, irons, boards and pressing equipment. You can cut your patterns on elevated tables with rotary cutting mats.


Sign Up Online using your credit card. (Click on dates below)  If you prefer to pay with a check, (download the registration form and instructions sheet).

As of January 1, 2025, there will be NO REFUNDS, NO Transfers.  If you are unable to attend-for any reason- you forfeit your registration, and the money goes to the Chapter's General fund, considering it a tax-deductible donation.)

ASG Members-at-Large, other ASG chapter members, and all guests will have a rolling 3-month registration period to sign up for those dates. Payments will only be accepted within the time frame noted below.

Eventbrite will be available for the rolling 3-months for all-Santa Rosa members, other ASG members, and guests. ASG members should use Discount Code for member pricing. No price adjustments will be made.

Saturday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Cost: $22 for members; $32 for nonmembers (plus fees if signing up using Eventbrite)

Sit and Sew Information

Sit & Sew is usually the third Friday/Saturday of the month; unless the space is unavailable. It runs from 9:00-4:30 at Cross and Crown Church Lutheran Church. (address appears above.) The fee for members is $22.00 for the day and $32 for non-members.

Instruction by a SRJC professor follows this formula:

25 +  Participants – 6 hours of professional help starting from 10:00 a.m.

22 - 24 Participants – 5 hours of professional help starting from 10:00 a.m.

20 - 21 Participants – 4 hours of professional help starting from 10:00 a.m.

17 - 19 Participants – 3 hours professional help starting from 10:00 a.m.  

14 - 16 Participants – 2 hours professional help starting from 10:00 a.m.

0 - 13 Participants – No pro for the day, just sewing on your own with others.
