Contest Awards:
Greetings from the Fashion Studies Program, Entries for this years Design contest titled "Wedding White to Red Carpet chic have been submitted. Thirteen students took up the challenge to up-cycle and transform high end wedding gowns donated to our program into "chic red carpet looks"! Eight students completed the challenge submitting their designs in time to qualify for our judges to score the entries. Quality completed entries will be featured in our Fashion show Sunday, May 6th, 12:00 pm, Bertolini Students Center, on the SRJC campus. You are welcome to join us at our awards ceremony to see the creative finished designs and to meet our talented Fashion Studies student designers, Monday, April 16, 1:30 -3:30 pm, in room 885,of Garcia Hall, on the SRJC campus. |
Fashion show:
Please join us for our Fashion Studies Fashion Show title 'InspirationS' scheduled in the spacious Bertolini Students Center, on the SRJC campu, on Sunday May 6, 12:00 pm. The new venue is fantastic, providing room for a longer traditional runway with seating for 150 -200 along the sides of the runway! Light refreshments will be served.
This fashion show is the culmination of a tremendous amount of work for all our fashion students as well as faculty involved, representing important program achievements and very successful academic year for the Fashion Studies Program. We encourage all to attend our outstanding show featuring student designs and class projects, showcase designs, and this years "Red Carpet Chic" contest designs!
