National Sewing Monthly Library Outreach Event
Date: Saturday, September 16th 10:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.

Location: Rohnert Park Library, 6250 Lynne Conde Way, Rohnert Park.
We need:
  1. Volunteers to Set Up and Take Down Displays
  2. Garments, craft projects, quilts, dolls, fun things to display
  3. People to demonstrate skills and crafts
  4. People to talk to visitors to tell them about ASG and sewing.
Contact Linda Garcia if you can help.
I am biased but felt this event was a success last year.  It was great PR for ASG.  I counted at least 50 people coming through.   There was a display of books on sewing, knitting and weaving.  I saw people checking these books out and staff replacing the empty stand.

The public and our own ASG members met others in the organization for the first time.  This is a great way to get  new members too. Quite a few members were demonstrating walker bags.  And there was a display of clothing and quilts.

I hope you can join me this year for a few hours to highlight the the good works of our organization.
Linda Garcia
