Beginning Sewing Classes
Community Outreach
The Santa Rosa Chapter of the American Sewing Guild will host a Beginning Sewing Class on Saturday, October 3 from 1-5 pm.
Join us, The American Sewing Guild, Santa Rosa Chapter for a beginning sewing class,
designed for anyone brand new to sewing or who simply wants to brush up on the basics.
In this fun and supportive class, you'll learn essential sewing skills, including:
• How to use a sewing machine
• Understanding fabric grain and seam allowances
• A variety of common seam techniques
• How to sew in a zipper (for those with more experience)
You will take home a simple project (materials furnished by us), but a supply list will be
sent if you prefer your own fabric.
• No machine? No problem! A limited number of sewing machines are available to
borrow. Please contact us in advance to reserve one.
• Class size is limited, so register early!
• The $25.00 fee is non-refundable, but is transferable.
