HOW TO SIZE A BRALETTE

These pictures are screen shots of instructions given by Monica Bravo on how to size the Pin Up Girls Sweet Sixteen Bralette courtesy of Vonnie Anderson. The written instructions are also courtesy of Vonnie.

The assumption was that cradle was moved from the side 1” toward the front of the bra. The blue correction was done first, changing the sides of the bra 1” to fit into the new cradle. Notice that the changes to the sides are NOT equal (5/8 and 3/8). The change in projection was done next (green line). Notice that the total projection change (1/4” each side) is half the amount of the change in the cradle.

Monica suggests that you make a bralette with these changes and then decide how much you want to lower  the top of the cup. That’s the yellow line.
